Think about what you see when coming up behind a vehicle on the side of the road, if you notice flashing lights in the taillights (standard affordable lighting) you don't pay a whole lot of attention. However if you see a flashing light all the way across the roof line and all the way across just above the bumper of a vehicle you tend to slow down to figure out what's actually going on, it's human nature. The perception of this is related to emergency vehicles (police, fire, rescue and towing). This helps with oncoming traffic by having safety lighting in the line of view in cars that sit lower and trucks that sit higher.
This safety light is 49 inches long and designed to go across any surface on the exterior of your vehicle. Installation is a breeze since we use 3M VHB tape for mounting. If under your tailgate it has a plastic piece, you can typically remove it without any issues. The wire typically is run to the drivers side over to the frame rail then up into the engine compartment or to wherever you decide to enter the cab for your switch.

Low profile, decent lumens
Anyone in public safety who dailys thier pov. Knows you either go for undercover look or you can tell there is light bars. These lights give you the best of both worlds. On a pickup, they look like accent or clearance lights. And they are deseret enough to not stand out. There is 1 draw back. Because they are strip lights their isn't a lens to focus or magnify the light. So in broad daylight, you can tell they are on. But not as bright or noticeable. I don't mind that they only have 1 flash pattern. It's definitely a pattern that is designed to catch attention. The dimmer switch is a fantastic add on. Especially at night where the rubber necks are out in full force. I chose a different brand for my rocker lights, purley just to try them out. It says 49 inches however the actual leds are 47 inches and some change. Would buy again though easy install and east wiring. Esp if you build the harness outside the vehicle taking advantage of the 2 piece pigtail design.

Firewire - Great solution
Much brighter than expected, Perfect for under the cab mounting as well. I used these over my running boards as I felt the bigger ones were overkill. A+ Price is a little steep but they do look good.
